Sewailo is an 18-hole, Par-72 championship course situated in the high desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. The course was crafted from flat desert terrain to reflect the values and traditions of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Sewailo translates to “flower world” in the tribal language, and is considered the spiritual world of natural beauty full of flowers and water from which their people originated. Sewailo is a “Desert Oasis” style course featuring large lakes, flowing streams, waterfalls and lush landscaping which blends seamlessly with the desert environment to create a wonderful “Oasis” effect that embodies this spiritual world. The course transitions through both desert terrain and the oasis environment, reflecting the story of the Tribal journey from the “flower world” thru the desert. The course features returning nine hole loops with the 18th hole set against a waterfall backdrop surrounded by abundant flowers, creating an exciting and memorable golfing experience.

The course is crafted from pure sand which provides an excellent playing surface, and expansive natural sand bunkers add intrigue and plenty of strategic options to challenge players of all abilities. The course winds its way thru a dense jungle of tropical palm and almond trees, traversing to the mouth of the Espiritu Santo River. From here it emerges along the shores of the Caribbean, finishing with spectacular holes set against a nearly two mile stretch of sandy beach.
